September in Song

Vintage jazz, elegant evenings and a very special new experience arrive throughout Central Florida this September.

September is shaping up to be a beautiful month of music — from Sunday brunches and intimate dinner performances to evenings of jazz beneath the lights of the World Equestrian Center.

I’ll be returning to many of my favorite rooms throughout Central Florida, including Lopez Legacy, Ivy on the Square, Milano, Redsauce, District Bar & Kitchen and Angler’s Club.

But this month also brings something I’ve been dreaming about for quite some time: the very first Miranda’s Jazz Salon.

September’s Featured Experience

Miranda’s Jazz Salon

Thursday, September 10 • 6:00–9:00 PM
Primary Tavern • Ocala

On September 10, Miranda’s Jazz Salon makes its inaugural appearance at Primary Tavern — an intimate evening inspired by the salons, supper clubs and listening rooms of another era.

This isn’t simply another night of live music. The Salon is designed around the idea that the room itself becomes part of the show.

Music, stories, conversation, food, wine and atmosphere come together as pianist Chris Kovic joins me for an evening of jazz standards, blues, vintage favorites and a few unexpected songs reimagined through the smoky lens of the supper-club era.

Primary Tavern will provide chef-created tapas, with a visiting wine specialist joining us for the evening.

$50 per guest includes chef-created tapas and soft drinks. Wine is available separately, and seating is first-come, first-served.

See You in September

Some evenings are lively and playful. Others become wonderfully intimate. And every once in a while, a familiar song quiets an entire room and, for three minutes, everyone seems to inhabit the same little world.

Those are the moments I keep chasing.

Whether you join me for brunch, dinner, cocktails, a Wednesday evening at Lopez Legacy or step into the very first Jazz Salon, I hope you’ll come say hello.

Here’s to another month of beautiful rooms, wonderful people and songs worth remembering.

See you in September.
